Flowdriver Talks With Fairly Odd Streamers About Her Community & Stream Team

How’d you get your gaming name?

I was trying to come up with a name for my first PlayStation, I was a big fan of Florida back then and my last name is Driver, so Flowdriver was born!

Why’d you start streaming and what’s your favorite part about it?

I wanted to share my gaming experiences with the community. I had a lot of friends who pushed me to try Twitch and I ended up loving it.My favourite part about streaming is the community that I've built and the stream team I created called StreamNation. The amount of friends I have made along the way is amazing!

Is streaming a full-time job for you?

Streaming is my full-time job. Before I went full-time 2 years ago, I was working for Xbox testing games while growing my streaming community. When I felt confident enough to do it full time, I went for it!

Why did you create StreamNation? What’s it like being the founder of a community?

I have a lot of streaming friends, and a lot of my community come to me for advice when they are starting up. So I made StreamNation for my community, to help them build their channel and not have all the requirements that most bigger teams ask of streamers.

Would you rather have tea and crumpets or an energy drink from X-Gamer to keep your energy levels up while streaming?

I've always been a massive tea girl, so I would pick tea. But if I have had no sleep and I needed a massive energy boost, it would be X-Gamer!

What’s your favorite console to play on? PC, PS4 or Nintendo Switch?

PS4. Purely because I've grown up playing it and most of my friends still play it!

How’d you grow such a large following so quickly?

Grinding, literally it is grinding everyday and socializing on Twitter. I also spend most days hanging out in my Discord chatting to everyone in my community.

Which games do you play currently?

Currently playing The Sims 4, PUBG and any new releases that take my fancy!

Are there any particularly memorable moments that happened on stream?

My mum tends to come in and make me jump quite a lot of the time.. My community finds it funny, and it's lovely as my mum also talks to them. She's known as MamaFlow, haha!

How long do you see yourself on Twitch?

Hopefully for the rest of my life! Or until I’m too old to do it anymore.
